Community Heroes is a volunteer program that recruits, trains, and prepares volunteers to assist the Stone |

YOU! Every person has a skill, talent or experience that can be invaluable to a community during times of crisis. |
| Experience shows that a local community must be able to sustain itself for the first 72 hours following a disaster until outside help can arrive. Trained volunteers are a critical part of this initial response. As a Community hero, you will be trained how to prepare for and participate in a public health response for a variety of disaster situations. |  |

You will primarily volunteer in Stone County, but may make yourself available to help neighboring counties in southwest Missouri, if you wish. |
| Volunteer for one day, one hour, one week-any amount of time. Every minute you give is priceless to the person you help. |
